The departmental commercial development commission authorized, October 24, the creation of a commercial and leisure center of nearly 5,000 m² in the Roland-Hoareau business zone in Pierrefonds (Saint Pierre), not far from the multiplex.
Baptized Pol'Sud, its cost is estimated at 55 million euros. It will bring together businesses, restoration points, games and sports rooms (bowling, fell, electric kart, climbing wall), children's playrooms...The commercial part will be made up of three medium-sized non-food areas (741 m², 993 m² and 1495 m²), eight stores of less than 300 m², six commercial kiosks and three seasonal spaces. The project is led by Ocidim, subsidiary of the Vinci group, which is currently investing in other ambitious projects on the island : Espace Bertel in the Chaudron area, the La Kour Gaby complex of shops and offices on the site of the former Gabriel-Martin hospital in Saint-Paul…
