On September 17, the Réunion Region launched the call for participation aimed at forming a regional youth council, called upon to give its opinion on projects and public policies that concern youth and to make proposals.
Applications can be submitted until October 6, then a jury made up of elected officials and administrators will analyze them, October 8, based on motivation and representativeness (statuses, territories, genre). Young people aged 16 to 29 can apply, that they are in training, active or unemployed, able-bodied or disabled. The selection will aim to respect girl-boy parity, the territorial balance between the micro-regions of the island and the diversity of statuses and pathways. The regional youth council will have 45 full members, with an additional list in case of withdrawal. The mandate is set for one year, renewable for up to three years. It will be installed on October 18.
