The Bourbon breweries announced on June 12 that the traffic jam contract currently in force with The Coca-Cola Company will end 2026.
The end of this contract will mark the cessation of production, of the marketing and importation by Brasseries de Bourbon of Coca-Cola brand drinks, Fanta, Sprite et Minute Maid. “This decision applies exclusively to the Coca-Cola portfolio and has no impact on the production or distribution of other beer and soft drink brands.”, specifies the company, d'Heineken branch. The day after, June 13, Phoenix Beverages Limited (PBL), subsidiary of the Mauritian group IBL Ltd, announces that its Reunion subsidiary, Edena Drinks, will begin production and distribution of Coca-Cola products in 2026. Edena Boissons will equip itself with a new bottling line for this purpose. The Region, for its part, asked IBL to “take all measures to preserve the maintenance in Reunion of all the jobs corresponding to the resumption of activity”.
