Household consumer prices have increased by 0,3% in July 2021 in Reunion, is more strongly than in June and May (+0,1%). Over a year, the increase is 1,3% in Reunion and 1,2% for the whole of France (outside Mayotte). Service prices increase by 0,9% on the month (the increase is also 0,9% over one year) after stability in June. The seasonal increase in transport prices driven by air prices continues : +33,3%. The prices of rent and related services increase by 0,1%. The increase in energy prices continued in July (+1,8%). Over a year, prices of petroleum products increase by 14,9% in Reunion (+16,5% in France) and return to their pre-health crisis level. On the month, prices of manufactured goods fell by 0,2% (-0,1% over one year), while the decline in the prices of food products stands at 1%, after six consecutive months of increase. Over a year, food prices increase by 0,3% in Reunion (+0,9% in France). But the prices of fresh products increase significantly more over a year locally (+16,2%) than in France (+3,8%), underlines INSEE. Over a year, tobacco prices have also increased by 7,5%.
