The Bernard Hayot group and the NGO Super-Novae have decided to unite their forces to support the Mahoraise market garden sector, heavily touched by the Cyclone Chido, December 15, 2024.
This partnership provides for funding of 1,025,000 euros mobilized by GBH, of which 900,000 euros will be directly allocated to the acquisition of essential agricultural equipment : irrigation systems, tiller, light infrastructure, sorting platforms, etc. Goal : Allow more than 50 farmers to quickly relaunch their production and feed the local market with fresh products. The project will be implemented by Super-Novae, in consultation with local institutional actors. A steering committee and a selection committee will be set up to guarantee transparency, the efficiency and legitimacy of the process. From July 10, Mahorais farmers were able to apply for a digital portal. Last May, A first partnership between GBH and Super-Novae had made it possible to circulate mobile clinics in the most isolated districts of Mayotte and to provide free care to more than 1,000 patients.
