France Travail supports business creation from project to success by intervening mainly during the phase 
emergence of the project by providing information on the creation (procedures, services, compensation…), by ensuring the coherence of the project and directing towards the appropriate structures.
In France, one in two business creators is a job seeker.
Create/take over a business, it’s above all having an idea. If you have not yet defined your idea, France Travail puts at your disposal :
• Active' Create, a service to support you in your reflection and help you define one or more ideas for creating or taking over a business ;
• Different workshops, For example “Imagine yourself as a creator” ;
• The ambassadorial platform “ MyJobGlasses » to interact with professionals who have created their business, who took over a structure, some who have also experienced the cessation of their activity and share how they were able to bounce back ;
• Nouveau : a Creator/independent/business manager category is now available on MyJobGlasses for better research and promotion.

Re Start, Business creation and takeover week
From December 1 to 5, 2025, France Travail and its partners are organizing a week dedicated to supporting job seekers and workers in bringing their business creation or takeover projects to fruition.. This event aims to secure entrepreneurial paths thanks to the expertise of professionals in the sector. In the program, you will find various thematic workshops, webinars, meetings with experts, online forums and conferences to provide you with all the information and support you need.

For this first semester
2025, there are already 6,736 business creations in Reunion at the end of June 2025, i.e. +10,2% compared to the first half of 2024. Reunion Island remains the most entrepreneurial overseas territory, with a majority of micro-entrepreneurs (more than 70%).
