Fisherman Knpils : conflore péi meets barley malt and wheat

One more péi beer in the Fischer Réunion range, and not the least because it is a subtly bitter and gluten-free white beer, which highlights the conflora of Reunion.

Our local land is full of riches. The conflore, a forgotten time, rediscovers these letters of nobility passing through Sorebra with this unique péi beer. The conflore is a herbaceous flowering plant, originally cultivated in the wild south of Reunion. The rhizomes are harvested and processed so that they can be incorporated into the brew. Rich in starch, they were formerly widely used in food and today are brought up to date in Fischer Knpils. Brewed in Saint-Louis, Fischer Knpils is a light white wine specially brewed from barley malt, wheat and local conflora roots. At the time of fermentation, it is deglutenized via an enzymatic process. At the eye, its opalescent color with a straw reflection is topped with a white foam of finesse and lace which adorns the glass. At nose, citrus notes, grapefruit or lemon, can be perceived and naturally leads to a final touch of conflore cooked in a pot over a wood fire. In mouth, we immediately find the lightness brought by the conflore. Combined with Cascade hops, an exceptional freshness emerges. Finally, the discreet bitterness settles on the palate in perfect balance to recall the earthy origin of the rhizome.

Also to be enjoyed at the table
Fischer Knpils is drunk very chilled and can accompany a starter such as a tuna or snapper tartare with citrus fruits or an arugula salad., roasted beets and fresh goat’s cheese. It’s a beer that can also accompany grilled toothfish or poultry curry la kour aux songes. A perfect beer for our tropical latitudes.
