On November 14, Roland-Garros airport was awarded the Supplier Relations and Responsible Purchasing label by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry. (RFAR), which distinguishes French companies or public entities that have chosen sustainable and balanced relationships with their suppliers. That day, the CCI hosted a presentation of the National Responsible Purchasing Journey, in the presence of the Director General of Business Mediation, Nicolas Mohr. On this occasion, several other Reunion entities have committed to the process by signing the RFAR charter : the Departmental Council, Air Sûreté and Maison de l’Emploi Nord meeting. They represent, ensemble, 184 million euros in annual purchases. More than 2,200 French companies have, to date, signed this charter : they total a total volume of 600 billion euros of purchases. Before Roland-Garros airport, 74 companies, totaling 104 billion euros of purchases, had already won the label, awarded for a period of three years. The airport joined the Good Purchase Strategy a few years ago, aimed at promoting local purchasing, and ensured that the construction contract for the new western terminal was allocated (65 million euros), which is currently emerging from the ground in Gillot. 91% of the companies selected are local, 72% are SMEs.
