A new public service delegation agreement for the Car Jaune network was signed on September 4 by the regional council of Reunion.
The delegatee of this new agreement is Cap Run with Transdev Service Réunion and GIE Activ, composed of ten transport companies : Transports Charles Express, house, Setcor, Transport L’Oiseau Bleu, Moutoussamy Émile, Moutoussamy and Son, Transports Ah-Niave, STANDS, Star Hi, Transports Mooland Osmann. The contract will last seven years, until 2032, for a total amount of 232,2 million euros. The regional network's offering is expected to evolve gradually over the coming years.. From December 2025, it will increase by 10%, with 40 additional trips every day, the commissioning of 72 new coaches and that of 11 new double-decker coaches. From 2026, supply will increase again by 15%, thanks to 11 additional new vehicles. 70 additional trips will be operated between Saint-Denis and Saint-André and Saint-Denis and Saint-Paul. A bus will run every 15 minutes during peak hours, 49% of trips will be made on specific routes between Saint-Denis and Saint-Paul and 38% between Saint-Denis and Saint-André. From 2028, a new increase of 15% in the offer is announced, with 70 additional daily trips between Saint-André and Saint-Benoît and between Saint-Paul and Saint-Pierre, 11 new vehicles put into circulation. The percentage of trips made on reserved lanes will continue to increase.
