Tech for Future is a competition organized by the economic media La Tribune. The Reunionese start-up Feelbat, At the origin of a technological solution for real -time structural monitoring of buildings, Works of art and natural risks, was awarded the price of the overseas category, devoting its latest innovation, The Delta L+ Mini sensor.

Jean-Christophe Habot, founder of Feelbat, designed a connected sensor for real-time crack monitoring.

Founded in 2020 by Jean-Christophe Habot, Feelbat was selected to represent the Indian Ocean basin, confirming its positioning as one of the most promising technological players in terms of risk prevention and predictive maintenance. “This award is a source of great pride for Feelbat and rewards the work of an entire team committed to protecting our structures.. It also underlines the remarkable dynamism of the overseas territories, which are today real breeding grounds for innovation. These ecosystems, often underestimated, support agile start-ups, anchored in reality, capable of developing cutting-edge technologies with a strong societal impact”, comments Jean-Christophe Habot, founder of Feelbat.

Intelligent infrastructure monitoring

Launched in January 2025, DELTA L+ Mini marks a technological breakthrough in the field of structural monitoring. Developed by Feelbat, this connected sensor is the smallest in the world in its category, and the first to combine autonomy, connectivity and high precision to follow the evolution of cracks to the nearest hundredth of a millimeter. Designed to be easy to use, quick to install and accessible to all, it integrates a series of cutting-edge innovations : real-time data transmission via LPWAN network, installation in three seconds thanks to a patented glue system, resistance to shocks and bad weather, integrated light sensor to correlate the influence of material expansion. Compatible with all types of materials (brick, wood, metal, pierre…), DELTA L+ Mini can be used on buildings as well as on bridges or industrial works.

Construction safety at an affordable cost

The other advantage of this solution, this is its cost. Offered at an affordable price of €399, sensor includes one year of remote connection, democratizing infrastructure monitoring by offering professionals a predictive monitoring tool via the Feel Monitoring mobile application or web portal. Faced with the growing challenges posed by climate change, this technology represents an accessible and concrete response to secure, anticipate and extend the life of structures, even in the most constrained environments.

New recognition for Feelbat

This new prize enriches the Feelbat list, already awarded several times in recent months for its innovative and useful approach. The start-up has already won an IoT Awards, an Innovation Award at KES in Seoul and a trophy from the Tech Show For Construction competition organized by Le Moniteur and Les Cahiers techniques du logement. She is also the winner of two France 2030 calls for projects. : one regional (France 2030, natural hazards), the other national (France 2030, clay swelling removal).
