New premises for Amare
The construction of these new premises of the association welcoming young mothers in difficulty, including a majority of minors, benefits from support from the Reunion Mayotte Foundation of Crédit Agricole. The installation of the foundation stone took place on April 4 in the presence in particular of Mgr Aubry and Thérèse Baillif.
The Association Amare (Home of the mother in Reunion) is an association created in 1983 which manages a family relay authorized for 32 places, falling under child protection and, as such, Funded by the Departmental Council. This relay welcomes young pregnant women or with children under three years old. More than two -thirds of young people welcomed at the Amare are minor and benefit from a protective measure, judicial or administrative. Following a work of reflection and consultation with the services of the department, Amare has come to the conclusion of the need for real estate investment to guarantee better quality of reception for young mothers. Thirteen additional rooms will be available thanks to these new premises.
