The turnover of the 4,228 small Reunionese companies making up the sample of the Image SME survey for the 4th quarter 2024 fell 1 % compared to the same period of the previous year.

After thirteen quarters of rise, TPE-PME turnover is back for the fifth consecutive quarter. From one sector to another, The developments are however contrasted. The overall turnover of the service sector is for example up 2,2 % in the quarter and was maintained in 2024 at the same level as in 2023. The turnover of companies in the real estate activity sector is however down -0,8 % in the 4th quarter and -2,3 % over the year. Likewise, Accommodation and catering are less well (-4,2% over the quarter, -3,2 % over the year). Turnover is down -4,4 % in the 4th quarter in the manufacturing industry, of -0,2 % for the year. In construction, Small businesses have lost 1,5 % turnover in the 4th quarter and 3,1 % in annual cumulative. Larger drops must be noted in transport and storage : -9,3 % in the last quarter and -4,2 % on average over the year.
