After five years of study and work, The infrastructure of the Run’Eva multifiliate center were inaugurated on December 18 in Pierrefonds.
The project is carried by Ileva, The Mixed Waste Treatment Syndicate of the Western and South Reunion Regions, which welcome 60 % of the island's population. Run’Eva covers 7 hectares, where 39 works were made. In total, A volume of 21,000 m³ of concrete has been implemented, Almost 3,000 tonnes of reinforcements and 1,800 tonnes of metal frames used. These buildings will house recyclable sorting units, methanization of bio -waste and energy recovery of solid recovery fuels as well as administrative services. 15,000 m² of roads and 30 kilometers of networks have been deployed on the site. The center is designed to treat 145,000 tonnes of waste per year and produce electricity thanks to a steam turbine generating 15 megawatts. Its commissioning is planned in two years. RUN’EVA CONSTRUCTION, entrusted in 2019 to a group of companies of which CNIM was agent, has experienced various adventures. The health crisis has slowed studies, then CNIM's judicial liquidation, in 2022, compromised the project. Spie Batignolles Civil Engineering has resumed the mandate, with the same group of companies, which was finally able to achieve the planned infrastructure.
