Local subsidiary of the world leader in testing, inspection and certification, SGS Réunion is the first organization in the department to obtain COFRAC accreditation for rejection water withdrawals. The company joins forces with Microlab to offer a complete sampling and wastewater analysis solution.
Manufacturers and infrastructure now benefit from an integrated service, responsive and compliant with the highest standards, directly on Reunion Island. So far, wastewater samples were taken on the island, but most of the analyzes were outsourced outside Reunion. With this new offer, SGS Réunion becomes the first player to carry Cofrac accreditation locally (Cofrac accreditation test no. 1-7261*) on averaged samples of discharge water. This acceleration of processes makes it possible to reduce analysis times and strengthen the reliability of the results., an essential issue for the preservation of Reunion’s resources and ecosystems. This local solution also reduces the carbon footprint linked to sending samples outside the island and promotes the development of Reunion expertise.. “We are proud to be the first organization on the island to obtain Cofrac accreditation for this service.. A turnkey service
With this initiative, SGS Réunion and Microlab place Réunion at the forefront of environmental monitoring and reinforce their commitment to sustainable and responsible development of the island. The common service includes the average 24-hour collection of wastewater, produced by SGS Réunion, and analysis by Microlab (Cofrac accredited local laboratory tests n° 1-1920), whose technical platform of 900 m2 is located in Saint-Pierre and processes all the samples taken throughout the island. With, for result, a reliable and 100% local solution for the protection of water resources.
