The positive impact of social housing studied by the SHLMR

According to a study commissioned by the SHLMR, once all expenses incurred for the month, the majority of households living in private housing have negative balances.

Conversely, social housing tenants benefit from purchasing power for “arbitrable” expenses, 85% carried out in the acquisition of local consumer goods. “In terms of taxation for each euro of public money spent, the fallout would mount, according to return on investment calculations, to 1,38 euros “recovered” for VAT, of the TFPB, and others… State contributions, as such, are largely offset by these tax benefits. The SHLMR also highlights the positive effects of its social support : Only 18 expulsions despite 1,620 unpaid cases, keeping elderly people in housing avoiding costs of up to 6,736 euros per household…
