The latest annual report from Iédom on payment deadlines practiced in overseas departments covered 2023 for those of businesses and 2024 for payment deadlines practiced by State services, of the local public sector and the public hospital sector.
In 2023, the legal threshold of 60 days for business payment deadlines is respected in all overseas departments, except supplier delays in Mayotte. The average customer payment deadline is 42 days of turnover, compared to 30 national average. Réunion is a good student overall overseas, with deadlines of 39 days. The payment period for suppliers is on average 48 days (of purchases) in the overseas departments compared to 37 at the national level, 46 days in Reunion, who obtains the lowest figure in the DOM. Payment deadlines for state services vary greatly from one department to another, going, in 2024, out of 10,8 days in Guadeloupe at 23,7 in Mayotte (22 in Reunion). They can also vary greatly from one year to the next.. Local public sector payment deadlines average more than 39 days in the French Overseas Territories, compared to less than 20 at the national level. Here again, the lowest delivery times are those of Reunion Island (less than 29 days). Finally, in the public hospital sector, payment terms practiced in the French Overseas Territories (121,5 days) are almost double the national average. They are less than 80 days in Reunion, but increased by almost 9 days in 2024.
