The four subsidiaries of the CDC Habitat group (CIDER, Sodiac, Semader and Semac) delivered a total of 955 homes last year in Reunion Island, according to the annual report recently presented by the public interest housing operator, subsidiary of Caisse des Dépôts. 860 were built and 95 were acquired and renovated by Semader and Sodiac.
249 new housing units were intended for the elderly. 578 rehabilitated housing units were delivered and 300 housing units were demolished, 75 million euros were thus invested in the existing fleet. At the same time, 928 housing units were started. In 2025, a planned investment program of 112 million euros is planned for the rental stock of the four structures. This volume of work also includes post-Garance repairs. The passage of the cyclone, last February 28, has indeed disrupted the calendars. Several of their residences, especially in the east of the island, were affected, requiring immediate mobilization to secure housing, support tenants and initiate repairs.
