Franchise driven by the desire to undertake

A total of 1,965 networks divided between 90 activity sectors, 79,134 franchised points of sale for a total turnover of 68,8 billion euros : the 2021 figures for France confirm that franchising is more than ever a solution, as a growth accelerator for brands and brands in many service sectors (distribution, hotel and catering industry, personal services, real estate, etc.), but also as a springboard for future business leaders wishing to embark on an adventure with the support of solid tutors and within a secure legal framework.. 28% of French people would like to create their own business

Franchise Expo Paris : 40 years already ! More than 400 exhibitors were present at this edition which marked the 40th anniversary of the Franchise Expo Paris show.. Since its creation, it has become an essential meeting place to find out about franchise news in France and around the world and to discover all the latest market trends., Franchise Expo Paris is a must for all project leaders and brands looking for new candidates to support their development. This 2022 edition highlighted 40 years of meetings through testimonials and portraits of franchisors, franchisees, experts, territories, funding organizations having met at the show.

It also illustrates the innovations demonstrated by franchisees and franchisors in digitalization and their awareness towards eco-responsible commerce..
The appeal of the model is primarily explained by the seduction that entrepreneurship has on many French people.. According to this new edition of the Annual Franchise Survey, 28% of French people surveyed would like to create their own business. Among these French, 43% plan to do it as a franchise. The franchise model appears, for many entrepreneurship candidates, a facilitator helping them take the plunge. Franchisees benefit from quality personalized support. Furthermore, the notoriety and credibility of the brand as well as the transmission of know-how are all incentive elements for future entrepreneurs. Finally, belonging to a franchise network is considered a source of security. Thus nine out of ten franchisees recommend this model.

A solid and dynamic model
The franchise model has once again proven its solidity : 70% of franchisees believe they have withstood the crisis better than an isolated retailer, compared to 67% in 2020. It's thanks, notably, to franchisors who have been proactive during this period by informing their franchisees about the assistance available (93 %) and by strengthening the animation of the network. Result : eight out of 10 franchisees are confident in the future of their business and want to stay in their network. Regarding digital, networks have undergone strong evolution during this period : 96% of franchisees have a web to store system on their website (geolocation, click and collect…). otherwise, nearly three-quarters of franchisees perceive eco-responsible expectations from their customers. More than nine out of ten franchisors believe it is important to engage in this process. 71% of franchisors already offer an eco-responsible offer.

50 years of the FFF

This 40th edition of Franchise Expo Paris also marked the kick-off of 50 years of the French Franchise Federation, professional federation of franchisors and their franchisees and representative of the franchise model in France.
