In a process of continuous improvement, Edena has redesigned its pack of 8 bottles of 1,5 liter to offer an even more pleasant experience to its consumers. Furthermore, Edena is committed to having less impact on the environment by equipping its bottles with solidarity caps, guaranteeing an airtight seal while facilitating recycling.
The first improvement consists of offering a detachable barcode on the Edena pack of eight bottles of 1,5 litre. Thanks to this novelty, it is no longer necessary to take the pack out of the cart to scan it at the checkout. Just detach the barcode, which is on the side of the pack, and present it to the cashier. Faster, more practical, this detachable barcode is a real plus for consumers and a relief for anyone who has difficulty lifting such a weight. The other novelty launched by Edena, in line with European regulations, consists of equipping all its bottles with a solid cap which remains attached to the bottle after opening. An effective change since November 2023, which aims to reduce the environmental impact of plastic packaging. Concretely, the aptly named solid cap is a cap that does not come off the bottle, even after being unscrewed. It clips and unclips easily with an audible click. This prevents the cap from being lost or thrown into the environment and also facilitates the sorting and recycling of plastic bottles.. It also helps reduce the amount of plastic used to package bottles. By switching to the solidarity cap, Edena takes a new step in its continuous improvement process and raises awareness among its consumers of the importance of sorting and recycling plastic bottles, so that they become a resource and no longer a waste. An example of a virtuous industry which also corresponds to the values advocated by the collective brand Nou la fé.
Photovoltaic panels on the factory
Another important initiative by Edena Boissons to adopt sustainable practices and reduce its carbon footprint : photovoltaic panels were recently installed at the factory, located in Rivière des Galets au Port. This photovoltaic installation, which will be operational in a few weeks, will make it possible to produce part of the electricity necessary for the operation of the factory.
