August 29, at Expobat Park in Saint-Paul, the AFPAR trophies were presented. Nearly 900 trainees from 15 training courses saw their success highlighted.

AFPAR organized the second edition of its trophies, an event that highlights Reunion Island graduates at the end of their training within the organization in 2025. Much more than a ceremony, what fucks, like the previous year, the celebration of life journey, of stories, of perseverance and success, individual and collective, who illustrated the strength of professional training on our island. Long considered a path to recovery, professional training proves that it is a real lever for the future. Each diploma obtained embodies a transformation : that of a sometimes bumpy journey which becomes a success and a source of pride for all of Reunion Island. These trophies are an opportunity to salute the energy, the determination and will of the trainees, but also the dedication of the teaching teams who accompany them.

New momentum since 2021

Since 2021, AFPAR is enjoying new momentum : development of new sectors, modernization of practices and greater openness towards the territories. This dynamic has given the institution a central place in adult professional training in Reunion Island., serving employment and the future of Reunion Islanders. “With the board of directors and the teams, we have put all our energy into modernizing this beautiful tool that is AFPAR by developing new sectors, by rethinking practices and opening bridges for people furthest from employment. It was particularly important to me to highlight the talents, to promote women and men who, through their success, confirm the meaning of our commitment. I am happy to see the enthusiasm of the graduates for this evening of trophies”, declared Karine Nabénésa, president of the SPL AFPAR, vice-president of the Region Meeting delegated to professional training.

A new chance at life

With four centers located in Saint-André, St Denis, Saint-Paul and Saint-Pierre, AFPAR trains more than 2,000 trainees each year in 58 different professional titles. The results speak for themselves : an overall success rate of 83%, more than 60% of graduates who find a job or continue training. Results which reflect the effectiveness of the system, reinforced by the support of the European Social Fund more (FSE+). More, behind these numbers, there are faces and stories. Like Malcolm's, trained in hospitality and catering : “AFPAR, this is the key to the possible. I come out with a job and newfound self-confidence. » Or those of Marie-Nathalie, graduate in medical-social secretarial work who regained “the self-esteem that she thought she had lost”. Or even Sandrine, graduate in family life assistance : “It’s not just a diploma, it’s a new chance at life. »
