The SME Naturopera is launching this project for an eco-responsible factory dedicated to the production of ecological diapers. At the forefront of technology and ecology, it will be located in the Hauts-de-France region. A first in France.
Today, 90% of diapers sold in France are manufactured abroad. To remedy this ecological aberration, social and strategic, the SME Naturopera will set up its own factory, which will be the first French production site for exclusively ecological diapers by 2022. Pioneer of the ecological layer in organic network with its Tidoo brand, Naturopera has chosen Hauts-de-France to participate in the revitalization of this territory, where job creation is a priority issue, but also to benefit from the presence of a qualified and competent workforce, resulting from a long heritage of industrial know-how. Created in 2013 by two young dads and childhood friends, Geoffroy Blondel de Joigny and Kilian O’Neill, the French SME specializes in organic and ecological everyday products and a leading player in France in natural diapers in an organic network. With this major project, Naturopera, 35 employees today, will double its workforce in one year. A local recruitment campaign was launched with the primary objective of more than 40 people hired until September 2022, and up to 100 within two to three years.
An industrial project source of innovation
With a surface area of 19,000 m², the new factory will have a first production line with a capacity of 200 million diapers per year. A second line will be installed in 2024. Naturopera aims to become the national champion of ecological diapers, but also the leader in innovation on its market. Car, in addition to producing ecological diapers, the Naturopera factory wants to be as environmentally friendly as possible in its operation. Low-consumption industrial motors will be installed as well as innovative air renewal systems.. The waste reduction policy will involve the creation of closed flows allowing heat and water recovery. In addition to the presence of electric charging stations on site, logistics optimization will also aim to reduce transport flows. A RRRR approach (Rethink/Reduce/Reuse/Recycle) will, for example, reduce or eliminate packaging and develop new materials.
A factory to visit

Naturopera wants this factory to be part of a vast ecological and cultural project benefiting the entire local population.. An industrial tourism offer, whose factory will be a first level, will be developed. The Naturopera factory will in fact be the first ecological diaper factory in France accessible and visitable all year round by the general public.. In a second time, a biodiversity site dedicated to the discovery of ecology, organic farming and the preservation of biodiversity, will be created a few kilometers from the factory.
