An event congress to see further

Stratco Run meets commerce actors, production and services for the fourth consecutive year, September 25 at Ciné Cambaie. In the current economic climate, What are the tracks of evolution that take shape, How to act more effectively, How to restore its place to humans in sales professions ? The return to basics will be the common thread of the 2025 congress. Rémi Baetslé, President of the ORA Group, recalls the ins and outs of StratCo Run, unique place of information and exchange between professionals in Reunion Island.

Meeting Leader : At the origin of the StratCo Run convention, the ORA group was awarded an award on June 18 at the LSA 2025 Sales Force Trophies in the category of food activities and operations : for what operation ?

Rémi Baetslé : This trophy makes us extremely happy for three reasons. First because, in our profession, the strongest competition is in the food sector. Secondly, we were acclaimed by a jury including leading French industrialists, as well as by two of our peers. This is a tremendous recognition for us., by profession, of what we are capable of doing. For the award-winning operation, we collaborated with two agencies to meet the needs of our client,the brand
Feastables Walkers Chocolates. This launch was among the most successful of the year. The third reason, it's that, for the animation part, we used an LED and digital stand made in Réunion. What stand, who contributed to our price, was designed by our Reunion partner at our request. We started by deploying it during commercial operations in Reunion Island. It was his first deployment in mainland France. A great success, symbol of beautiful synergies.

Can you remember how the Réunion commercial strategies congress was born? ?

We find in Reunion a sense of commerce and a skill which are real assets, and this in a context of enormous logistical constraints. Our objective was to make Reunion Islanders aware of their creativity, their dynamism, and to promote this Reunionese commercial know-how in mainland France. We created this event with our heart and the means at our disposal. Arriving at the fourth edition is an immense source of pride for the INOE association., the current organizational structure, and for all the teams who, from the beginning, are mobilized to organize it.

The director of studies at Circana, Émily Mayer, is the guest of the 2025 congress : why this choice ?

The theme of the 2025 edition is a return to basics : “Back to the basics. » It’s a need that we strongly feel, this need to evaluate priorities, to choose the most important in the economic situation that we currently have. Émily Mayer is the France director of one of the world's largest commercial data analysis institutes.. Circana is the reference for the entire consumer products trade and industry in France. In his inventory of the macroeconomic situation, it will perhaps be able to enlighten us on what the priorities may be for one and the other. For this fourth edition, the meeting point will be that of a commercial diagnosis opening up perspectives.

The StratCo Run Sales Force Trophies highlight field sales work. Two new awards expand this approach in 2025 : the CSR and Female Manager of the Year trophies. Why this evolution ?

These two new prizes embody the values ​​and major transformations of the economic world : social responsibility and female leadership. CSR has become an issue : for several years it has been a pillar of commercial strategies. Environmental and societal actions give additional meaning to a company’s economic and commercial action, both for its employees and for its consumers. It is increasingly important to integrate this dimension. With the aim of making Reunion Islanders aware of their strengths, of their skills and commercial dynamism, this CSR trophy has its place. Last year, our Coup de cœur awards had already rewarded an action in favor of responsible whale watching and a co-branding operation with charitable associations. With the Female Leader of the Year trophy, we want to demonstrate the increasingly important role of women in the economy, in Reunion as elsewhere. More and more companies are created or managed by women, and more and more high-level functions are entrusted to women. We need to shed more light on this dynamic.

How, StratCo Run organizing association, was created by the ORA group. It offers in mainland France, through its training in commercial professions, a path to professional integration for young people without qualifications. Are such training courses planned in Reunion? ?

I remind you that the INOE association is from Reunion. It was created in Saint-Paul. Its professional training activity is today concentrated in mainland France.. In the meeting, INOE is best known, For now, for the organization of the StratCo Run congress, for which it ensures the logistical and financial management. The event is now three-quarters financed by the association., thanks to its patrons and entrance fees. Our ambition is now to strengthen INOE’s presence in Reunion Island, through the development of local training and integration actions, serving young Reunion Islanders. To do this, we are calling on all businesses, local communities and economic players in order to join the association as members, patrons or partners. I would like to point out that the funds raised locally will be entirely devoted to the development of projects in Reunion Island.. Our ambition, is to make StratCo Run a lasting event, carried collectively by the living forces of the island, that this strong moment becomes more and more their event.

We understand that StratCo Run is more than a day of conferences. Can we also see it as an opportunity for team building or customer relations? ?

Absolutely ! StratCo Run is designed as a true collective experience. This is an ideal opportunity to unite a team around inspiring content, but also to invite customers, partners or suppliers in a stimulating professional environment. It creates value, of the exchange, sometimes even new business prospects. This year, we have also planned a 4-seater pack, with preferential early buyer rate, perfect for coming as a group and experiencing the event together. And for businesses, another point is important to emphasize : the day is eligible for the training plan and can therefore be 100% covered by their OPCO. This is a real opportunity for collective training, concrete and meaningful. Karim Vincent-Viry, entrepreneur of the antiquity
Former sales executive in mass distribution, the founder of Finistèrestes29 collects the misshapen fruits and vegetables that the supermarkets do not want and sells them at low prices via a network of collection points, in partnership with La Poste, in the west of France. His activity met with overwhelming success. Finistèrestes29 now employs 50 people and has plans to create a network of convenience stores.

 

Adam Ravate, CEO of the Ravate group
Adam Ravate is general manager of one of the largest groups in Reunion. With more than 1,000 employees, Ravate is the number one in non-food distribution, leader in DIY and home improvement with, notably, the franchise of the Leroy Merlin brand.
