Spontex rose to first place on the podium during a study carried out from July 16 to 18, 2025, on the OpinionWay panel, from a representative sample of 1,030 people from the French population aged 18 and over, in the “household tools” category. New proof that the brand created in 1932 in France has become the key player in the sponges and microfibers market. More than 90 years of a story started by the famous vegetable sponge, star product of homes, which stands out as a household ally in every room of the house. A product made in France, quickly became iconic and essential, and which is then exported throughout the world. Spontex is now essential in the home maintenance department, with an awareness rate of 98% and 55% market share of sponges in value. As for the brand symbol, it's the story of a hedgehog, born in 1999, who falls in love with a sponge, because he finally found something that scratches and stings as badly as he does...
