France Travail figures for the 3rd quarter of 2025 show a rise in unemployment in Reunion.
Over the period, the number of people registered with France Travail who are neither awaiting guidance nor on a social pathway increases by 1,4 % (+2,430 people) and 2,5% over one year. The number of job seekers in categories A, B, C (required to seek employment) increases by 1,6 % (+2,430 people) over the quarter and 3,1% over one year. The number of job seekers in category A (unemployed and required to look for work) increases by 1,7 % (+2,030 people) over the quarter and 3,5% over one year. The rise in unemployment is particularly marked among those under 25. After having declined significantly in recent years under the effect of various public support measures, particularly in favor of learning, the number of young people registered with France Travail increases by 15% over one year in category A and by 11,8% in A categories, B and C. An increase in unemployment is also noted in the Antilles and Guyana. On a national level, the trend is also increasing, with an increase in the number of people registered with France Travail of around 1,5% over the quarter and 3,1% over one year in category A.
